She’s falling for the one man who could destroy everything…
Alex McAllister always dreamed of a life filled with the laughter and love of a family, but being abandoned at a young age left her wary of letting anyone in. Now that she’s settled in Still Harbor, Alex struggles between keeping her distance and the magnetic pull of the handsome stranger who claims he’s the biological father of her adopted daughter.
Hayden Brooks never wanted to be a father. Long hours spent building his family’s real estate empire suits him just fine. But when he discovers an ex put the baby he unknowingly fathered up for adoption, his world crumbles. He tracks the child to Still Harbor with the intention of bringing her home—and comes face to face with his daughter’s stunning adoptive mother.
The paternity test is in. And Hayden’s about to make the most shocking decision of his life, just in time for Christmas…
Falling for Her Enemy was
just as cute as all of her other books. That’s what I really like about her
books. Everyone I have read (which is all of her books) is so cute and is
usually set in a beautiful town.
I really thought this was a
cute book. I really liked the characters. I didn’t have any problems with them.
I also liked the family aspect of this book. I love where they are all so close
and claim each other as family despite not being related. I also really liked
the plot of the book. That’s what initially got me interest in this book.
Now I do have a few
questions that weren’t answered. What happened to the biological mom? And I
would have liked to have seen an epilogue set a few months/or years later. But
despite not getting these answers answered I did still really enjoy it.
Overall, I thought it was a
fast and cute read (Of course it’s Victoria James so it’s going to be). I
really did like everything about this book. The small town, snow, their family,
Christmas time, the bakery. Everything.
Now I can’t wait for book
three in the series. I’m soooo excited for that one!
