Synopsis
When a McKinney brother falls in love, powerful emotion and overwhelming desire are never far behind.

Two hearts locked away . . . Hannah Walker spends her days coaching children through injury and trauma, one therapeutic horseback ride at a time. She knows all too well how violence can change a child and leave scars that never heal. It’s easy for her to relate to the kids; what isn’t easy is the thought of facing her own harrowing past.

Millionaire playboy Stephen McKinney could use a little coaching himself. Five years ago he encountered his most horrible nightmare—and the nightmare won. No matter what he achieves, nothing can make up for that awful night . . . or so he believes.

Both desperate for a second chance . . . Stephen is used to getting what he wants. And he wants Hannah. So when she turns him down, he’s intrigued. What he doesn’t know is that her secrets will lead him to a place he never wanted to go again . . . to a side of himself he’s tried to forget . . . a side that would scare Hannah away from ever loving him. Now his only chance to win her trust is to bare his soul, risking everything he tried so hard to protect.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

3.75 stars –I loved the book one minute, then the next I didn’t like something. It was back and forth. So I decided on 3.75-4 stars

description

So, I enjoyed this book, mostly. I did have just a small problem with Stephan at first. He was kind of an asshole, but as the book progresses, you will like him more. Or at least that’s how it was for me.
I love several things about this series. First being how they have such a huge family. I love this. I love books with huge families but I can’t find a lot of books like that. Second thing, loved how close everyone is. I love Stephan’s parents. They are great parents and grandparents. Third thing, I love how Stephan is/was reconnecting with his family. Not going to say any more than that. Don’t want to spoil anything.
So, the problem I had with Stephan at first was his attitude. He was kinda an ass at first but like I said he gets better later on.
I think I enjoyed the last 20-30% of the book the best. I loved the ending. It was probably the best ending I’ve read in a book in a long time.
Overall thoughts…
I enjoyed this book…a lot. This book has more Angst than I usually read, but overall I did enjoy it. I loved to watch Hannah and Stephan fall in love. I think if you did enjoy the first book you will more than likely enjoy this one just as much. I did at least. Yeah, Stephan has his moments but I do think that he makes up for his attitude, later on though. And most of their problems I did see coming, but it didn’t take away from the story.
I am excited for J.T.’s book. There has to be a good story there.
