Release Blitz | Getting Schooled | Emma Chase

Head of the class... Garrett Daniels has this whole life thing figured out. The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy — he's platinum. He has good friends, a great house on the lake, and the best damn sidekick a man could ask for: Snoopy, the albino beagle. Then...Callie Carpenter comes home. And knocks him right on his tight end zone. Back to school... Callie has a pretty sweet life herself...on the other side of the country. But circumstances — that she'd prefer to never speak of again — have brought her back home, helping out her parents and substitute teaching at her old high school. Now she's facing bickering, raging hormones, constant gossip, awkward weirdness, and drama galore...and that's just the teachers. Just like old times... When Garrett offers to show his former high school sweetheart the secrets of his winning teacher ways, Callie jumps at the chance - and then has to stop herself from jumping him. Good friends are all they can ever be. Or...these teachers just might end up getting schooled — hard — by love.     I sit down in the desk chair and lean back, balancing on the hind legs like my mother always told me not to. I fold my hands behind my head, put my feet on the desk, and sigh with contentment. Because life is sweet. It’s going to be a great year. They’re not all great—some years suck donkey balls—my best players graduate and it’s a rebuilding year, which means a lot of ‘L’s’ on the board, or sometimes you just get a crappy crop of students. But this year’s going to be awesome—I can feel it. And then, something catches my eye outside the window in the parking lot. Someone. And my balance goes to shit. I swing my arms like a baby bird, hang in the air for half a second…and then topple back in a heap. Not my smoothest move. But right now, it doesn’t matter. I pull myself up to my feet, step over the chair towards the window, all the while peering at the blond in the navy blue pencil skirt walking across the parking lot. And the ass that, even from this distance—I would know anywhere. Callaway Carpenter. Holy shit. She looks amazing, even more beautiful than the last time I saw her…than the first time I saw her. You never forget your first. Isn’t that what they say? Callie was my first and for a long time, I thought she’d be my only. The first time I laid my eyes on her, it felt like getting sacked by a three-hundred pound defensive lineman with an axe to grind. She looked like an angel. Golden hair framing petite, delicate features—a heart-shaped face, a dainty jaw, a cute nose and these big, round, blinking green eyes I wanted to drown in. Wait…back up…that’s not actually true. That’s a lie. I was fifteen when I met Callie, and fifteen year old boys are notorious perverts, so the first thing I noticed about her wasn’t her face. It was her tits—they were full and round and absolutely perfect. The second thing I noticed was her mouth—shiny and pink with a bee-stung bottom lip. In a blink, a hundred fantasies had gone through my head of what she could do with that mouth…what I could show her how to do. Then I saw her angel face. That’s how it happened. And just like that—I was gone. We were “the” couple in high school—Brenda and Eddie from that Billy Joel song. The star quarterback and the theater queen. She was the love of my life, before I had any fucking idea what love was…and then, still, even after I did. We broke up when she went away to college and I stayed here in Jersey—couldn’t survive the distance. It was a quiet ending, when I went out to visit her in California, no drama or hysterics. Just some hard truths, tears, one last night together in her dorm room bed, and a morning of goodbye. She never really came home again after that. At least, not long enough for us to run into each other. I haven’t seen her in years—in a lifetime. But she’s here now. At my school. And you can bet Callie’s sweet ass I’m going to find out why.

Title: Going for the Hole
Author: L.P. Dover
Genre: Sports Rom/Com
Release Date: June 25, 2018
Cover Designer: Letitia Hasser @ RBA Designs
Grip it softly.
Stroke it smooth.
And you’ll sink right into the hole. That’s my motto both on and off the golf course. The women come in full supply everywhere I go and there are no complaints. Maybe it’s the size of my driver that gets them going.
I’m Lucas “Ace” Montgomery, professional golfer and world record holder for the longest drive in golf history. The PGA Tour has been my life, but it’s time for a break. A few relaxing weeks of drinking and golf with friends in Myrtle Beach is what I need. However, when a bright pink ball knocks me out on the course, and a blonde beauty comes to my aid, I expect to see a gallery girl, a.k.a a member of the Party Groupie Association. Trust me, those girls know how to have fun. Although, to my surprise, it’s not what I get at all.
Dr. Ashley Locke is beautiful and everything I’d want if I was ever to get serious about someone. Unfortunately, she has no interest in me whatsoever which only makes me want her more. All she wants is to get through her friend’s bachelorette weekend and go back to her life. But after injuring me on the course, I’m not letting her run away so easily. When I want something, I get it.
I’m not competing for money this time. All I want is to win her heart.

“When can I see you again?”
I shook my head. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“I took a needle in the ass for you. Surely, that deserves more of your attention?”
Why did he always have to give me that devilish smile of his? As much as I wanted to hate it, I couldn’t. “Why are you doing this? Can’t you find someone else?”
“Of course I can, but I want you. We can have secret meetings in here if you’re still embarrassed to be seen in public with me.”
I rolled my eyes. “I’m not embarrassed. You’re you, and I’m a respectable member of society.”
He burst out laughing. “Okay, I see how it is.”
“I just don’t want the publicity,” I added. “You can understand that, right? You of all people should know what it’s like not to have privacy.”
His smile faded. “You’re right, I do, but it’s my life. I can’t change who I am.” My body shivered with the intensity of his stare. “For once, I thought I’d found someone who wanted me for me and not my money or fame.”
Guilt racked my body and I sighed. “Okay, I give in. I can see you tomorrow, after I get out of the spa. Maybe we can order in room service.”
Eyes twinkling, he went over to the door and opened it. “Now that’s a plan I can get behind.”
Before I could walk out, he stood in my way, body close to mine. “I’m going to break through that ice wall of yours, sunshine. One way or another.”
I batted my eyelashes in an innocent matter. “Good luck with that.”

Life is a series of events, one leading you to another. The hell I lived through with my drug-addicted parents led me to the Marine Corps. Committing my life to my country was easy. My brothers were my family--all I had and all I needed. I wasn’t looking for her, but I should have known life had other plans.

It led me to her.

From the moment we met, I knew he was different--I just didn’t realize he'd change my life. He was a guy on leave, an acquaintance. Until he was something more, something unforgettable. I never imagined he'd leave ten days later, taking a piece of me with him. Then again, maybe I did know. I just didn't care.

He was worth it.

I enjoyed Pull You Through. I love military books and guys in uniforms.
The Hero and Heroine had a connection right away. It was a slow burn, but it gradually built up to something more.

I loved the characters and the side characters as well. They were all just really enjoyable to read about.

The book was long. I wished it was a little shorter. Still enjoyable nonetheless.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I liked the characters and the plot. I loved how devoted they were to each other and the hero made me swoon. He was so sweet.

 Review | 4 stars

I enjoyed Unconsious Hearts. I also enjoyed the characters as well.

I loved that Ari loved purses as much as I do. I related to her in that way. I loved how she was also independent.

I also liked Thorn. He is the kind of alpha I like to read about. After he finds his woman, he's a goner and he falls head over heels in love with her. I perosonal like the guys who same they wound be tied down or just be with one woman the rest of there life.

Overall, it was a good book. I loved Thorn and Ari. I liked how Thorn was head over heels for Ari. I acually felt the love between them. This book had more suspense than Harper's typical book, which I loved.
