Welcome to Briarcrest Academy, where sometimes, only the wicked survive.

Excerpt:
Cuba’s POV
Not exactly a meet-cute…
The room closed in, making me sweat. I hadn’t talked to her in over a year, and now here we were, face-to-face. Two ex-lovers who hated each other.
I had to get away from her.
Dovey tilted her head as I stood, giving me a scathing glare. “Leaving so soon? Yeah, go ahead, cut and run. Coward.”
I ignored her and tried to get Weinstein’s attention, to let her know she could flunk me for all I cared.
“Before you go, tell me one thing, and I’ll make sure we aren’t partners in this class. You’ll be free of me,” she said.
“What?” I asked, my voice going all raspy, blocking all the words I wanted to say. They weren’t things she ever needed to hear.
“Why so cruel to me? You aren’t to the other girls you date and dump. Why single me out?”
I seethed. “And it didn’t take you long to find someone else, now did it? How is Spider? Does he get you hot like I did?”
She smirked. “He’s fine. He thinks I hung the moon. He thinks you’re an ass. I agree.”
I tightened my fists and pressed them against my thighs, swearing to myself I wasn’t responding to her bait. I swore. She was a dangerous game I didn’t need to play.
Suddenly, her face fell. Was she recalling the last time we were together? Was she remembering how I used to…
“I trusted you,” she whispered, all her anger seeming to be gone. The unsteadiness of her voice undid me, sent me right over the edge of that precarious cliff I’d been hanging on to by the skin of my teeth.
Yeah, she hadn’t been the only one who’d trusted me. I’d ruined them all. Every last one. Dark thoughts assaulted me, of the blood I had on my hands.
Snap! My pencil broke and small pieces flew across my desk and into the empty space between us.
I wanted to pummel my desk until my fists bled. I wanted to punch a hole through the wall, the floor, my face.
Everything was my fault. Just mine.
She’d been collateral damage, the kind that breaks everyone involved. And I was sorry for it, but sometimes you do what hurts because it’s for the best.
But she was my kryptonite, leaving me no option but to hurt her. Again.
I didn’t think about my cruel words, I just said them. “You were a curiosity, Dovey. You weren’t the usual BA girl, and I wanted a taste. That’s all. I moved on when it got boring. Get over it.”

Author Bio:
Ilsa Madden-Mills is a loving wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a teacher. When all that is done, she writes. Obsessively.
She spent several years teaching high school English, but now hangs out at home with two small kids, a neurotic cat, and her Viking husband. She collects magnets and rarely cooks except to bake her own pretzels.
When she’s not typing away at a story, you can find her drinking too much Diet Coke, jamming out to Pink, or checking on her carefully maintained chocolate stash.
She loves to hear from fans and fellow authors.

Title: Push the Envelope
Author: Rochelle Paige
Release Date: Out Now
Goodreads Blurb:

Alexa is just your average college junior, attending classes and piloting Mile High Club charter flights. Boys haven't been on her radar for a couple years after a disastrous breakup with her high school sweetheart. Her plans to focus on school hit a bit of a snag when she meets bad-boy Drake Bennett and he sets his sights on making her his own.

Drake transferred to Blythe College for the rugby team, not for a new assortment of college girls. He's sexy and cocky, and he attracts women like moths to a flame. When he meets Alexa, Drake knows he's met his match. She tries to resist him, but Drake isn't used to taking no for an answer.

This does not have a cliffhanger.
Warning: 18+ due to sexual content

*Review*

I Really liked this book. I thought Drake had a perfect balance of Alpha male and being a Sweetheart.

Alexa, I thought she had one of the perfect jobs. You never see a female being a pilot. It was awesome. Or a female having a decent job in college. Drake is a nice guy with a tad bit of Alpha male. He gets what he wants and what he wants is Alexa.

I liked the character's but at the begging I had Doubt's about Alexa's bestfriend,Aubrey. I thought she was kinda obnoxious. But as the story progress's you find out that she is actually a nice friend. She was their for Alexa when she really needed her. I also really liked Jackson. He was Aubrey sister and Alexa's best guy friend.

I also like that this story have cheating. I really hate cheating and wont read book's with it in it.

I really Can't wait for Jackson's book.

Review: Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Title: Until November (Until, #1)
Author: Aurora Rose Reynolds
Release Date: Out Now
Goodreads Description:

November is looking forward to getting to know her father and the safety of a small town. After leaving the Big Apple and her bad memories for Tennessee, November starts working for her dad at his strip club doing the books. The one time she’s allowed there during club hours she runs into Asher Mayson. He’s perfect until he opens his mouth and makes assumptions. November wants nothing to do with Asher but too bad for November, fate has other plans.

Asher Mayson has never had a problem getting a woman, that is until November. Now all he can think about is making November his and keeping her safe.

Warning 18+ sexual content and a strong Alpha Male.

*Review*

This was an awesome book. November was a pretty kickass Character. She was her own boss and didn't let Asher boss her around ( too much). November has had a tough life living with her Botox slut of a mother. Her mother was always there to push her down. Now that November was attacked in New York, she's moving to Tennessee to live with her dad. Her dad owns a strip club, and he wants November there to do the books behind the scenes. While there to show her around , she meets Asher Mayson.

Asher Mayson is defiantly one of those alpha Males that wants you to do what he says. But not so luckily he sees November with her dad and thanks the worst. The first time he ever saw November he knew she was the "One". But Novembers not so sure what his intentions are.

After someone breaks into her apartment at her dads, Asher makes her stay at his house with her dog, beast, whom saved her life during her attack in New York. From there, November realizes that she does really like Asher, but she doesn't want to be just another one night stand, because she doesn't do that, it's just not her. She tells him this and he agrees with her...

I really like all of the characters in the book. Both family's Novembers and Asher's we're amazing. I'm glad that November finally had a family that actually liked her, and deserved her.

Review : Beck by Harper Sloan

Title: Beck (Corps Security, #3)
Author: Harper Sloan
Release Date: Out Now
Source: Bought (paperback, ebook)
Goodreads Description:

DEE
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.

BECK
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.

Wow! What a Freaking book. I loved it. It was such an amazing read.

I loved that On the Days that Dee was at her lowest she always had Beck there to pick her up. I loved Him for her. Beck was just awesome in  my opinion. He was her rock, and she was his. I loved how Harper portrayed these events  because it's  actually is something someone can go through. Dee was one of the Strongest woman character's that I know of. She had a horrible life, but she didn't let it stop her. Yes, some days were harder but in the end she survived it.

*Review*
I loved Greg Cage in the first book. I really loved Cage in this book because he is such a Genuine guy. You don't find that a lot in books. Cage has always been a Procter and I think it suits him just fine.

I love Cage and Melissa together, they suit each other perfectly. I loved the story line. I love where the guy has to save the girl. I also love romance and suspense. This book had it all.

Melissa was a kickass character. She took care of her family. Which I loved about her. She was nice, but once you messed with her, she Kickedass.

I hated Mandy. Like Literally despised  her. Let's just say I'm happy with whatever happened to her.

Book 4 in the Corps Security series.

Asher & Chelcie's story - Coming Spring 2014

*About thAuthor*

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed 'Estrogen Ocean', much to her husbands chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero--the super alpha kind!

Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.

Goodreads Description:

Heroes for Hire: Big Risk. Big Reward. No Regrets.

When High Risk Securities (HRS) agent, Eva Torres, botches an undercover job by failing to rescue both of the kidnap victims she was sent to retrieve, Quinn Blackwood—her former lover and the man who broke her heart—pulls her and one of the victims out of harm’s way. As a penalty for her sins, she’s offered the dull job of escorting a former bio-chemical warfare scientist to Washington D.C. to reunite with his daughter. Much to her displeasure, the job of monitoring her assignment is given to Quinn.  Quinn isn’t thrilled with the situation either. He taught Eva everything he knew about secrets, sex, and lies—but the biggest lie of all was the one he’d told himself: that his missions for HRS were more important than anything, including his relationship with Eva. Because now that they’re working together again, the urge to put his hands on her, to feel her beneath him, is killing him.  Things only get worse when their current operation goes wrong, and the scientist they’re guarding is kidnapped mid-air. Now, Eva and Quinn have to work together to find him before he is forced to create a monstrous weapon that could destroy entire cities. A hard task made more difficult when they find themselves fighting both the enemy and their building desire for each other. Can they work together for the sake of the mission without reigniting the passion between them—or will passion be the salvation of them all?

*Review*

This is my first book by Sharron McClellan and I half to say I'm impressed. This was a very enjoying book. From the action, suspense, and romance. From the start to the finish this book held my attention. I really couldn't put it down.

I really liked Eva. She was fearless and sometimes hardheaded, but that's what I liked about her. When she set her mind to do it, she did it no question asked (well maybe a few). I liked that she didn't let what Quinn's breaking them up affect her that much. She was still pretty professional.

Quinn, in my opinion was awesome.I liked that he still cared what happen to Eva, even after he broke up with her. He was so protective and you could still tell he loved her. But I wish he could of seen it sooner.

The only problem that I had with the book was that it need more romance in it. I'm all for a suspense book, but I also love romance.

I really can't wait for the next books in the series!

*4 Stars* Book Recommended.

*About the Author*

I always planned to be a writer of some sort. However, when I went to college, I took journalism and creative writing and sadly, the teacher’s sucked the love of writing out of me. So I turned to my next love–science. At first, I wanted to be a marine biologist, but there was the whole shark issue. Frankly, they freak me out.
Instead, I discovered the joys of playing in the dirt-a profession more commonly known as archaeology. For years, I focused on excavating ancient sites that included projectile points, burn pits and the occasional burial.
My focus returned to writing when I took a position during the archaeological off-season and ended up answering phones for Princess cruise line AKA The Love Boat. Which, when you consider I write romance, is somewhat ironic. It was during that time that I took to reading romance. It wasn’t long before I fell in love with the genre and returned to my first love-writing.
Five years later, I sold to Silhouette.Five years after that, I landed at Entangled Publishing–Huzzah!
Today, I live in San Diego, also known as the City of Perfect Weather. I have an awesome husband who supports my passion for the written word in every way possible.   We both love to travel so don’t be surprised to find locales I’ve visited appearing in my books and pictures popping up on the website. It’s a big world—both in my head and out there!
