Synopsis
[ob-li-gey-shuh n]
An obligation is a course of action that someone is
required to take, whether legal or moral.
At six years old, Myla was
sent to a family her father and mother had chosen for her when they knew their
time on earth was almost up. What they were unaware of was what they thought
would be her safe haven would become her living hell.
Kai has been watching Myla
from afar since he took over the family business from his father and inherited
the responsibility of keeping her safe. When word gets back to Kai that Myla is
not only in danger, but that his assets are being compromised, he immediately
jumps into action and does the only thing that can be done at the time by
marrying her.
Neither Myla nor Kai would
have thought that something that started off as a farce would become the most
important thing either of them could've ever done.

I’m usually one of
the lucky ones that almost always
enjoy Aurora’s books. She is like the only author I know that can pull off insta-Love
and over the top alphas. I had the pleasure of reading Obligation and loved it.
I love that all of
her books have some suspense too them. Something where the guy has to protect
the heroine. But, I don’t like weak heroine either. I like them to be strong,
but still need the guy if that makes sense. It does to me anyways. Well Myla is
one of those heroines’. I liked that she could hold her own, but still need
Kai. If you don’t like the main characters then you are not going to enjoy the
book. Which I totally loved Myla. I really liked her character. I really did.
But then again, I usually like Aurora’s leading ladies. And her men.
I liked that Kai
and Myla were friends when they were kids. And after all these years I’m glad
they are brought together again.
Kai, that big Hawaiian
tough-as-shit-over-the –top-alpha is probably one of my favorite main
characters. I loved that to everybody else he was a scary as shit guy, but with
Myla, I liked that he could be sweet and romantic. So, yes I did really enjoy
this book.
Overall
thoughts…
I really enjoyed this book. I have enjoyed all of Aurora’ books
so far, with the excerpting of one. I love that they have strong over the top
Alpha’s that would do absolutely anything to protect the woman who steal’s
their hearts. And Kai is no exception. Honestly, if you have enjoyed the Until
Series and Assumption you are going to want to get this book.
Oh and I cannot tell you how excited I am for Sven’s book. I’m
so excited to read about him and Maggie.
