This was a cute story about high school sweethearts, who get a second chance. Jake, one of the main characters breaks up with Annabelle at their high school graduation to go to china to start his career. It is a once in a life time opportunity.
In the present day, which is 10 years or so later, they meet at a restaurant and Annabelle is on a blind date. The Guys that are with Jake want him to get her to come over and join them. He secedes and they start taking about business. Jake want to do away with some old historic building and build new ones. Annabelle doesn't want that because she likes the history and stuff that go along with them. There are also old people who have lived in their places for 80 or so years and they don't want to move.
Annabelle presents her concerns, but in order to find out what happens read it. The book really isn't that long 80 pages or so.
