Synopsis
He lost his mentor. He lost his K9 partner. He almost lost his will to live. But when a ruthless killer targets a woman on the run, Theo and his new K9 companion will do whatever it takes to survive—and save the woman neither can live without.

Grieving the death of his partner, Theo Bosco has no room in his life for distractions. Though his instincts scream that he should avoid Juliet 'Jules' Jackson, he can't seem to stay away. It doesn't help that Theo's new K9 companion has fallen head over paws with Jules's rambunctious family.

Or that when he's with her, Theo finally knows peace.

When Jules rescued her siblings, whisking them away to the safety of the beautifully rugged Colorado Rockies, she never expected to catch the eye—or the heart—of a cop. Yet as Jules struggles to fight her growing attraction to the brooding K9 officer, another threat lurks much closer to home...

So, I loved this book. I'm learning that Katie's books are right up my alley. She writes the best romantics suspense. And they have have the perfect ratio of romance to suspense.
I loved th characters. Theo was what I loved in a male lead in a book. He was standoffish, broody and very capable. I loved how he was with Jules and the kids.
And I admired what Jules did for her siblings. She protected them with her life. I loved seeing that sibling bond between all of them.
And I loved the plot of the book. I suspense. I can read that shit 24/7 as long as it's done right. And in this case it was. I liked that it'd that the suspense wasn't too overwhelming and the same is for the romance.
Bottom is if you like romantic suspense with the perfect amount of each than this is for you. And if you like books with K-9 dogs the same goes.
Now I know I said I loved it, which i did, but there is still a few questions left unanswered. I'm assuming that this is like her other series and is just going to continue on to another book.
