Aspiring writer Kelli Dalton needs a man, and fast. When she’s rear-ended by a sexy-as-sin biker on the way to a Vegas romance readers convention, she sees her chance. Quinn Anderson doesn’t know what to make of the cute little writer who stirs his heart and his libido, but he does know he wants to get better acquainted. And if that means keeping up their sexy ruse all week, he’s game.

Quinn knows girl like Kelli deserves someone with a secure future to help with her store, not a guy struggling to turn a profit on his chopper shop. But if his motorcycle designs win the big Vegas competition, he’ll have enough prize money to fund his dreams…and hers.

I really thought this was cute. I liked the characters. But, I can't say I love them either.
Kellie, I enjoyed her character. She was an aspiring writer and an owner of a failing book store. She was determined to write a book and get published. Well, so far that was going so well. She gets a chance to go to Romance Writer’s Convention is Las Vegas. There, she meets up with her BFF. But before she actually gets to meet with her she has an accident and totals a Motorcycle with a really hot owner...
Quinn Anderson, the owner of the wrecked bike, somehow gets roped into being Kellie’s date at the convention. But things don’t go as planned and one night turns into the weekend. And of course feeling get involved, some tiny lies come out, but through it all does Kellie actually get what she originally came to Vegas for….
Overall, I enjoyed this book and the characters and of course the plot. I really didn’t like Kellie’s friend at first. Well honestly I only actually started likening her at the very end of the book… say the last chapter. She was just awful. I really liked Quinn. She was a gentlemen with a little bit more of a rough side behind closed doors. And I liked Quinn’s family too. Some of them more towards the end.

Author: Teri Anne Stanley
Release Date: Available Now
Publisher: Entangled LS

*Synopsis*

Undiluted desire, served straight up.

Justin Morgan would happily drown the pain of his injured leg—and the guilt he brought back from Afghanistan—in bourbon. Except, there won’t be any booze if he doesn’t rescue his family’s century-old distillery from financial ruin. The problem? Allie McGrath—youngest daughter of the distillery’s co-owners, and the one woman he can’t have.

Allie has been in love with Justin since…well, she's always been in love with him. Now he's home, broken up over the death of her brother, and he needs help. She can fix the distillery—she’s sure of it—but no one’s taking her or her sweet new idea seriously. Convincing Justin is her only hope.

Allie is more tempting than Justin expected, threatening a promise he swore he’d never break. If he can’t keep their attraction under control, there’s a solid chance they’ll send the whole enterprise crumbling to the ground…if he doesn’t crash and burn first.

I did like this book, but I didn’t love it.
I love books where the guy falls for his best friends little sister. And that is the case for this book. And add that he’s an ex-military guy and lives in my home state-Kentucky, how could I not give this a try?
The book started out good. It was pretty interesting at first, but as it went on, some of the things Greg says/ does really annoyed me. For example, his excuse about anything that has to do with Allie is that she is his best friends little sister. I mean I got it after the first 500 times.
However, there was somethings that did like. I really liked how we get to see Greg and Allie’s relationship grow into what they have now. They didn’t rush, it just gradually happened. I also liked the characters they got to meet on their road trip where their trying to find an investor and promoting for Allie’s new product- Rainbow Dog. Which I can say I’m not a fan of the name. She could have picked something different. And I think the biggest problem I had with this book is where he call his ex-girlfriend pet names too. EX: My girl or something to that affect. No, he should not be calling her anything but her name. I don’t think he done it intently but I still don’t like it. And I think you can tell that I don’t like her. And she does play another part in the book but I’m not saying what.
Somethings where predicable about their relationship, but usually when I read books anymore that’s usually the case at some point in a book.
The author did leave me wanting to know what’s going on with Greg’s older brother…
The characters worked well together, but there was just something missing for me. Something was lacking for me really love this book. It just didn’t
I will give the author another shot. The book wasn’t terrible but I also didn’t love it.
3/5 stars
