Mason and his dog were lovely to read about. Mason was in the Military and after an op that went south Mason struggles everyday. So to help combat his PTSD he gets a dog. 

Avery is a divorced cop who is afraid of relationships. She meets Mason and sparks fly instantly. But, shes very hesitant to start anything. But, theres a threat to Avery, and while Av and Mason try to neutralize the threat they, grow closer together. 

Great romantic suspense read. Really liked the characters and Mason’s dog.

“Avery Dahl,” she said, handing over her ID to the clerk. “Checking out Sunday.”

“Welcome, Ms. Dahl, we’re glad to have you.” The clerk typed something into his computer. “Okay, we’ve got you in the Ponderosa cabin. It’s got an incredible view of the lake from the loft bedroom.”

Avery frowned. “Cabin? No, I’m in the main lodge with the rest of my family. We’re here for the wedding—”

“I upgraded us to a luxury cabin,” Mason said, aware of her relatives watching and listening nearby.

“How many beds does it have?” she said to the clerk.

“A king-size.”

She frowned and lowered her voice, maybe hoping her relatives wouldn’t overhear. “Is there a pullout couch? He snores.”

Mason grinned and nuzzled the hair next to her temple, breathing in the clean vanilla scent of her. “You’re gonna find out whether I do or not soon enough,” he murmured, and choked back a laugh at the tiny jab of her sharp elbow in his ribs.

I’ve only read a few books by this author and I must say i really like her writing and her heroes. The guys she writes are my dream guy and he would be the kind of guy any dad would want for their daughters. 

So CP writes Insta Love, and romantic suspense books. She writes what she loved. And she writes almost exactly what i like to read too.

Logan and Skylar were a perfect pear. I think one of my favorite things about Logan was how he dealt with her brothers. Knowing that he was a scarred hero, i really saw him in a new light. He could be sweet snd loving when he wanted too.

CP Smith lovers, you don’t want to miss this book.

She looked like someone who’d just stepped out of a storybook. Nothing about her belonged here in my world.

Even though her clothes were casual, they were far too upscale for this place. The fabric was delicate and soft just like her limbs and the way she walked. Her round blue eyes scoured every inch of the place as though she had never been anywhere like this before.

And the hood. The royal-blue hood pulled up over her head was like a cloak, shrouding her in mystery and concealing so much more than just her features.

Its safe to say i adored this book. Royce was cold towards Sawyer at first, but after he got to know her he fell fast and hard. I books like this. And the author did it in a good way. 

Small town romance, great romance, and great characters. Overall, it was a cute small town romance. It had great secondary characters and i can’t wait to read Royce’s brothers books.
