It's been a while since I've loved one of Lani's books. Lately, they just haven't really been doing it for me, but Law and Beard reminded me so much of the books she used to write.

I honestly really enjoyed this book. I loved Big Papa and Winnie and her kids. I loved how you'd expect big papa to be this big grumpy guy but he wasn't. I loved how he was with Winnie's daughter. He was also there for her.

Overall, loved the characters and the plot. Romance and suspense are two of my favorite things in a book.

Harlen is  one of those characters that know what they want and don't take no for an answer. And what's a bonus is his alphaness. I love Aurora's alphas. You can't beat them. I also loved how sweet Harmony is, but she also doesn't let anyone push her around. She's the shy innocent type. Overall, I loved Harmony and Harlen. And in typical Aurora fashion she adds a little suspense to the plot which I loved.  If you love alpha males that protect their woman at any cost, then Harlen is for you.
